Got screwed at TMR scrap yard in rockledge fl

I loaded up my Truck and head to TMR scrap yard.They are 18 mile from my house.I was told the were the better one to go to. I had about 40 pound of cooper 200 pounds of steel about 40 pounds clean aluminium and 2 pounds of insulated wire and 5 cooper bearing motors. I pulled in at 4:10 pm.They close at 4:30 there was one person in front of me so when they got to me it was 4:30 pm..They rushed me threw I got my recite  for 33.57 so i take the recite to the cash window explained to her what was left off my recite.She said leave her my number and she would look into it and call me.They called me back got 4.00 more.but said they did not see my cooper on camera. So my advice to every one as take the time to review your recite at the spot question it right there re check the bends and make sure every thing was added and accounted for. If any one of you have any stories of being screwed at the scrap yard comment below we want to here about them

Personally I Think it's the best fast food job out of all them.I have worked for most of them.I decided to stick with K.F.C  that was May  6 1995  Over 20 Years ago. After working for pizza hut McDonald's Hardees ccaption dee's taco bell. my first year of work i went thru a few.I want to find one that would be able to make a career out of. I'm not book smart never had good grades in school. I knew i would be in fast food that;s What i'm good at. I got offered a manager position at 18 i knew i was not ready and turned it down. I waited two more years got some experiences and took a manager position in 1999  then I mew I was ready.I been in several stores since 1995. I move to Melbourne Fl
on December 26 2009 One of my best choices. I am a manager at the lake Washington store in Melbourne FL. So the reason I Moved away from every one i knew. in 2005 I was in a car accident in my sister's car we were sitting at a red light.Her husband was in the driver seat my sister in the front passenger seat I was in back. A women never seen us or the red light how I don'y know.She never slowed down hit us in the back. I took a trunk in my back taking the full force of the hit into y back saving every one in the car. i am 400 pounds so i am a big guy. the doctor said be being in the back saved lives. But know my back is messed up I stared on lortabs 7.5 for the pain.But over the years my tolerance went up I know could take 5 roxie 30's a day i was hooked on the pain pills. I move to fl were I had a friend i knew who had moved there.but that did not solve my situation. Come to find out i could find pills easier here . I lost a friend of mine she was 27 to heroin December 24 2015 so i decided to try to quit again.  .After a few more try's and failures. I am now taking suboxone 8 mil i am taking half a day and soon hope to be off of them.

Metals like copper, aluminum, steel, brass, iron and wires are often thrown into trash by many who do not realize the value of reusing such metals items. If you take these items to the right place, you can earn a lot of money.

Tips to collect metal and scrap from your household items for making money

1. Where to find it

• Many household items which you may have neglected and thrown into the junk yard are of immense value : for example, Christmas tree lights. They contain copper wire, as do some kitchen items like old grills or toasters.
• Old car batteries and some metal items discarded on road side can fetch you a good sum.
• Never discard your old plumbing fixtures. Copper pipes, steel taps and showers accessories can be sold at any recycling yard around the country at good price.

 Take your vehicle and go in search

• Now, that you are done with finding scrap at your home, take your truck or pick-up and hunt for more scrap to add to it.
• There is a possibility of finding scrap in your neighboring houses. Don’t hesitate; go and ask them. They would love to get rid of junk lying in their houses.
• Generally people are intimidated to go to junk yards and sell their metal scrap, you can help them by taking their scrap to the yard.

Metals in demand:

• Determine which metals are in demand. For instance, steel used in kitchen utensils is highly valued.
• People generally trash things when they get old. Copper wires are valuable too. Brass can be found either in utensils or in decorative items in house.
• Iron on other hand is also a lucrative metal and found in pipes, construction beams and automotive parts.
• Use strong magnets to confirm the originality of the metal. For instance, ferrous metals such as iron and steel will get attracted to magnet, and metals which do not get attracted to the magnet are non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper and brass.

2. Know your junk’s value beforehand

• Before you take your truck load for selling, confirm its actual value.
• Check prices online, many websites provide actual value of metals in market.
• By calling multiple recycling yards and asking the value, you may get an fairly exact idea of the value of your junk metal.

What is the actual worth of scrap metal

• Ferrous metals costs $195 per ton in most scrap yards but the prices keep fluctuating on demand and supply basis. That is approximately 10 cents per pound.
• Non-ferrous metal like copper costs $2.85/lb and aluminum is .50 cent/lb.
• Other home appliances which are scrap to you now: washing machines (200LBS) costs $18-$22, refrigerator (avg wt 175lbs) costs $16 to $18, ovens and ranges (avg wt 125lbs) costs $11 to $18, grills and cast iron barbecue costs $16-$20 for average weight 180 lbs.

3. Sell your junk to trusted dealer and recycling center

• Search online for best recycling centers throughout the country. Government star websites can help you find best places, which are even trusted by Government.
• Scrap metal recycling Melbourne is an example of one such place that gives you a good price and service for your metal and scrap junk.
• Other such recycling centers and yards can also be found using telephone directories and other local business directories.

Unloading and selling

• When you reach scrap yard, your vehicle will be weighed on inbound scale.
• They will separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals from your junk using magnetic crane
• Allow them to unload your vehicle according to their convenient instruments.
• Now when the deal is final, collect your cash or payment slip for the amount you sold your junk.

4. Don’t scrap everything.

• While selling metals and scrap, you’ll realize that all items are not scrap and if you spend some dollars on the repair, their worth multiplies 10 times.
• For instance, some washers and dryers can be used after cleaning and motor repair and if you want to sell them later on, the price offered would be more.

You can easily earn extra money from recycling scrap metal. Along with making money, you contribute towards the green movement as well.

Tip #1. instead of just cutting the cord of that vacuum you found in the trash.Bust it open there is a copper motor some have 2 cooper motors in them.A vacuum is one of the most found items.you really can get a big amount of cooper from them

Tip #.2 TV’s don’t just cut the cord take it home and break it down let it sit for a few days or make sure you ground it.the tv may still contain electricity.There is more wire in side plus a huge piece of copper.So safely break the TV down

Tip #3 All electronics are worth taking home to break down. They all have cooper bearing motors. You can even find cooper hidden on the circuit board.Also look for  Aluminum pieces on the circuit board. Use a magnet  to see it sticks or not. Aluminum will not stick.

Tip #4 The best item to find is a desk top computer.There is a lot of cooper and Aluminum and gold plated pins.
